Lisa reached out to US Turf shortly after moving into her new home in the Del Mar Highlands Estates. The grass in the backyard had started turning brown and dying very quickly after her family moved in. With high foot traffic from their dogs, kids, and their social activities, the Bernings’ started looking for a solution to keep the grass green and beautiful all year long.

The Berning family was looking for a product that would seamlessly solve all of their issues. Ultimately, they selected the best product from US Turf based on functionality, durability, and aesthetics. The dying grass and clay were removed along with an additional four inches of the ground to make room for the necessary decomposed granite base. The compact aggregate base was backfilled and shaped for natural drainage. Then, it came time to install the new synthetic grass. Specialized cutwork around the in-ground trampoline and flagstone pathways followed. Finally, EnviroFill anti-microbial infill was spread evenly into the blades to prevent urine odors and bacteria buildup in the grass – an excellent option for people with pets and children.
The Bernings now have an entertainment paradise in their backyard that offers something for every family member, even the four-legged variety. They have been able to enjoy their beautiful new turf for golf, baseball, football, and soccer training. They have hosted swim parties and BBQs with friends and family. With the addition of their new synthetic turf, dead spots around the trampoline and other high traffic areas are completely prevented. The dogs stay clean and don’t’ track mud and dirt into the house. Plus, they are saving water as well as money. This fun family loves their low-maintenance space and knows their yard will maintain a beautiful aesthetic for years to come!
The management team at the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, California, reached out to US Turf for a revamp of their wedding and event space. The space had old synthetic turf that had been in place for many years. The area was matted down, and the aged product was simply out of date for the beautiful luxury hotel in the heart of La Jolla.

The team at La Valencia selected one of US turf’s best options for high traffic areas that maintains an extremely natural appearance. The old, worn synthetic grass was removed and replaced with a vibrant, lush, and soft turf that will withstand wedding and hotel guests’ special celebrations for years to come.
The sprawling and glamorous event space is prominently located on the hillside’s middle terrace as a focal point below the hotel’s 5-star restaurant, The Med. The space is perched above the pool and offers a gorgeous view of the Pacific coast. The new synthetic turf blends beautifully into the breathtaking surrounds and has revitalized the event space for corporate parties, weddings, and social events. The US Turf team is proud to have helped transform the event space for this historic landmark hotel.
The Allen family had a sprawling blank space in their front yard that they wanted to transform into a usable focal point for their home. The area featured a large natural drainage pond, which was overgrown, and a large grass area that was rarely used. Both had great potential, but it was up to us to tap into it.

The US Turf team helped design a new look for the space with putting greens, surrounded by fresh landscaping. The yard now features three separate greens, each with three cuts of grass, two sand bunkers, and three chipping locations. The area was topped off with an amazing rose garden and serene sitting area placed under a massive shade tree.
The project spanned over two weeks and resulted in a golfer’s paradise. The transformation from a large blank grass area to an unforgettable putting green and expanse to spend relaxing afternoons will keep the family busy with plenty of fun, golf practice, and a beautiful space to gather together.
Our client, Bill, was searching for a solution to cut down on his water bill and keep a well-maintained front yard without turning it into a rocky landscape. He’s known in his neighborhood for having one of the most well-kept yards and did not want anything that would interfere with that perception.

After scheduling an estimate with US Turf, Bill selected a product that he emphasized was “the most realistic artificial turf” he had seen on the market. The yard’s natural shaping was maintained throughout the installation, helping to create the appearance of real grass while being eco-friendly.
Bill continues to have one of the most beautiful yards in his neighborhood. He has also been able to significantly reduce his water bill without sacrificing his landscaping’s overall aesthetic.
When we were given an opportunity to beautify the Vici’s luxury rooftop even further, we jumped at the chance.
